Lovely classic eatery with a solid history behind it. Visited for dinner and we ordered the seafood risotto, gnocchi for mains and fried squid for starters.
Really enjoyed the food, especially the main dishes which were full of distinct flavour and equally delicious. Also loved the rustic interior.
I have been to Cafe Paradiso a number of times over the years, and especially during the time that we took my young son to the restaurant. It provides suitable spacing for families with young kids, and has a stunning exterior as it does the interior. In summer (or even sunny winter days), the view of Table Mountain as a backdrop is superb. There is a light bustle around the area as it is near the top of Kloof Street, but still it has a nice ambience to it, almost rustic. The foot was really good, slightly overpriced (but what isnt these days), but the quality and freshness were exquisite.
I highly recommend it, especially for an early lunch, or midday brunch for that familiar Cape Town Sunday early morning timeouts.
Super fantastic food in a fabulous atmosphere.
One of our fav. restaurants in Cape Town eben during load shed!
